LSEG World-Check screening in VeriKYC

Bank-grade sanctions, PEP and adverse-media screening inside the KYC file, without a direct World-Check licence or an engineering integration.

What this page is

This is the product page for screening, not an industry page and not a World-Check alternative.

VeriKYC screening is powered by LSEG World-Check, the London Stock Exchange Group's risk intelligence database. Funds, real estate teams and professional firms run that screening inside a VeriKYC verification. They do not have to negotiate a World-Check data licence or build an API integration of their own.

This page is the stable URL for that claim: what is screened, how a hit is stored, and what stays optional. Company and entity details remain on About VeriKYC. Industry workflows are on investment funds, real estate and private funds AML.

VeriKYC is not described here as a listed World-Check One Integration Partner. If that listing exists later, this page is what a partner directory or a press note can point to.

What gets screened

World-Check aggregates information from more than 100,000 credible sources and is used by over 300 global financial institutions. In a VeriKYC flow it is used to screen:

  • Sanctions lists
  • Politically exposed persons (PEP)
  • Adverse media
  • Connected names and entities collected during the verification, including beneficial owners where the counterparty is a company or a trust

Identity document checks and biometric liveness run in the same pass. Screening is one part of the file, not a separate vendor the team has to log into.

How a hit lands in the audit file

Every step is timestamped and exportable. A potential match is not silently approved. It is flagged for a human reviewer, with the screening result stored next to the identity evidence and the ownership map.

The output is a compliance summary you can attach to a subscription, a closing file or an inspection pack. The platform does not decide your risk policy. Your team still sets thresholds and signs off on a borderline case.

World-Check screening is included in VeriKYC processes that require advanced KYC/AML verification. Enhanced reports and continuous monitoring are priced before activation. They are not switched on by surprise.

Who this is for

A lean GP, fund administrator, estate agency or law firm that needs the same screening infrastructure a large bank uses, without a World-Check One sales cycle or an in-house integration project.

If you already have a direct World-Check contract, this page is still the description of how VeriKYC records the check in one audit-ready file with ID, liveness and UBO. It does not ask you to replace World-Check with a cheaper list.

What this page is not

  • Not a "World-Check alternative" or a substitute database
  • Not legal advice, and not a claim that a screening result completes a SAR, a FinCEN report or an AML programme
  • Not a public API. There is no engineering kit to wire World-Check into your own app through VeriKYC
