KYB software for corporate service providers
KYB for every entity on your books: legal existence, directors, ownership chains traced to natural persons, and LSEG Risk Intelligence screening in one timestamped file.
Short Answer
Verifica gives corporate service providers KYB for every entity on their books. It checks that the company, trust or foundation exists and is in good standing, identifies its directors and signatories, and traces the ownership chain to the natural persons who own 25% or more or control it. Each person gets an ID and liveness check, and the whole structure is screened on LSEG Risk Intelligence. When a director, shareholder or owner changes, the affected checks run again, and a timestamped audit file records every step.
Who this is for
Corporate service providers, company formation agents, registered office and nominee director services, trust and fiduciary companies, and fund and corporate administrators. Your clients are mostly entities, and every new client, new director, share transfer or change of control is a new check.
If onboarding still means a checklist in a spreadsheet, ownership charts redrawn by hand and screening run one name at a time, this is the product view of that problem. Background on ownership tracing is in beneficial ownership verification.
KYB is the core of the job
For a corporate service provider, KYC on one person is the easy part. The required work is Know Your Business: proving the entity exists, who controls it, and who ultimately owns it. Verifica collects and checks that in one guided flow:
- Legal existence and status. Certificate of incorporation, recent registry extract, registration number, registered address and good-standing status.
- Constitutional documents. Articles or bylaws, trust deeds and foundation charters, stored with the file.
- Directors and signatories. Every director, officer, trustee and authorised signatory identified, with ID and liveness checks.
- Ownership chain to natural persons. Shareholder registers traced through each intermediate entity to the people who own 25% or more or control the entity by other means. When no one meets the threshold, the senior managing official is recorded instead.
- Screening of the whole structure. The entity, related entities, directors and beneficial owners screened for sanctions, PEP and adverse media through LSEG Risk Intelligence.
- Register cross-check. Declared beneficial owners recorded against the relevant beneficial ownership register, with any discrepancy documented.
- Purpose and source of funds. The nature of the business relationship, and source-of-funds or source-of-wealth evidence when the risk requires it.
Nominee arrangements, bearer-share history, trusts and multi-jurisdiction layers are flagged for enhanced due diligence by a person on your team. The platform does not auto-approve them.
A book of clients, not a single check
Structures change after onboarding: directors resign, shares are transferred, a new holding company appears. Each change has to be re-verified and the file has to show when. Verifica keeps one record per entity, re-runs the affected checks when something changes, and timestamps every step, so an inspection can follow the history of a client, not just its first day.
Continuous monitoring is optional and priced before activation.
Why this is now a requirement
FATF Recommendation 22 names trust and company service providers among the designated non-financial businesses and professions that must apply customer due diligence when they form companies, act as or arrange for directors and nominee shareholders, provide a registered office, or act as trustees.
- European Union: trust and company service providers are obliged entities, and the AML Regulation (AMLR) applies one directly applicable rulebook from 10 July 2027
- Portugal: service providers to companies are obliged entities under Law 83/2017
- Licensing: in many jurisdictions these providers also need a licence or registration to operate
This page is not legal advice and does not claim that a verification run satisfies your obligations. Policy, risk decisions and suspicious-activity reporting stay with your firm. Verifica produces the KYB, identity, screening and audit file they rest on.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is KYB for a corporate service provider?
Know Your Business is due diligence on an entity client: proof that it exists and is in good standing, its constitutional documents, its directors and signatories, and the natural persons who own or control it. For a corporate service provider it is most of the onboarding work, and it has to be repeated when the structure changes.
How does Verifica find the beneficial owners?
It traces the shareholder registers and structure charts through each intermediate company or trust to the natural persons who own 25% or more or control the entity by other means. Each of them gets an ID and liveness check and is screened. If no one meets the threshold, the senior managing official is recorded.
What happens when a director or shareholder changes?
The entity keeps one record. The affected checks run again for the new person or the new ownership, and the file shows what changed and when.
Does Verifica approve nominee or offshore structures automatically?
No. Nominee arrangements, trusts, bearer-share history and multi-jurisdiction layers are flagged for enhanced due diligence by a person on your team.
Does it work across jurisdictions?
Yes. Entities and people from many countries can be onboarded in the same flow, and LSEG Risk Intelligence screening covers sanctions, PEP and adverse media worldwide. The platform runs in English and Portuguese.
